Emergency Operations Plan

BYU is committed to the welfare of its students, faculty, staff and visitors. The University maintains an emergency operations plan that is designed to help university employees respond appropriately when emergency conditions exist.

The purpose of the Brigham Young University Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is to establish policies, procedures, and an organizational structure to assist BYU officials in providing for an adequate and effective response to an emergency on or near campus. It is the official plan of the University and supersedes any previous Emergency Operation Plan and precludes employee actions not in concert with the intent of this plan. This is an all hazards plan that addresses incidents including but not limited to: fire, flood, extreme weather, earthquake, terrorism, acts of violence, and other potential disasters.
