BYU Emergency Tones

If you hear a "Do Re Mi" tone over the fire alarm system, pay attention. This tone may be used during emergencies on campus and will be followed by a spoken message with additional information or instructions.

Take action when you hear this tone:

  • Listen carefully to the message that follows the tone.
  • Follow the instructions provided.
  • Check your phone for any Y-Alert! messages.
